Patricia M. Hobbs

CLIFTON PARK – Patricia M. Hobbs, 76, of Clifton Park, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening at her residence.

She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late George F. and Beatrice M. Purcell Kowalski. Patti was a graduate of Maria College School of Nursing. She was very proud to have been one of eight Nurse Practitioners in New York State’s first graduating class through the Albany Medical College. Patti worked for several healthcare providers, most recently with Community Care Physicians. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time at the lake, and with her cherished family and her canine companions.

Patti is the longtime companion of James L. Levy. She is the devoted mother of Dr. Laura (Brian) Sawyer and Melissa (Daniel) Chambers and the late Thomas and Jeffrey Hobbs. She is the sister of Robert (Cathy) Kowalski. Patti is the much-loved grandmother of Michaela, Philip, Isabella and Brighton Sawyer; and Amanda and Jacob Chambers. She is the stepmother of Ben Levy. Patti is the beloved aunt of Jill (Lucas) Lastarza,  Amy Kowalski, and great nephew Lyle. She will be dearly missed by her dogs, Sadie, Jee Jee, Asia and Sam.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patti’s family on Saturday morning from 10 am  to 12 noon at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A prayer service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY 12204.
