Mary Kay Hoogkamp Obituary

Stillwater

 

Mary Kay Hoogkamp, 60, of Meehan Road, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021.

 

Born on June 30, 1961 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bianco J. and Veronica M. (Frasier) Pettograsso.

 

Mary Kay enjoyed growing up in Latham and was a 1979 graduate of Shaker High School.

 

After being together since they were 14 years old, on July 16, 1983, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Hoogkamp.

 

Early on, Mary Kay was blessed to be able to stay home and raise their family.  As her children grew, she went to work for Stillwater Central Schools. Once her children graduated, she began work at Ballston Spa National Bank.

 

Mary Kay enjoyed spending time with family; especially by the pool in the summer. She was never one to turn down a seafood fest or a trip to the Casino.

 

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Michael Pettograsso and her niece Dorothy Finn.

 

She is survived by her husband Jerry Hoogkamp; her daughter Rachel Hoogkamp (Nick Wilbur) and her granddaughter Chloe; her son Daniel Hoogkamp (Tarah), siblings  Tina Pettograsso, GeeGee Pettograsso (Debi), Ronald Pettograsso (Bonnie), Angela Pettograsso (David), Christopher Pettograsso (Melissa), sisters in law, brothers in law and many nieces and nephews.

 

 Calling hours will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm followed by a prayer service at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 29 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
