Mary KENNEALLY Obituary

Mary J. Kenneally, 69, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home.

 

Born on Dec 31, 1951 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of William and June (Myers) Hines.

 

Mary was a 1969 graduate of South Colonie High School. 

 

On February 13, 1971, she married James F. Kenneally.

 

She retired from the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System where she was employed in the benefits department for more than 30 years.

 

Over the years, Mary enjoyed travelling including  trips to Myrtle Beach.  She was an avid Jimmy Buffett Fan (Parrott Head).  She especially enjoyed the time spent at Camp on Sacandaga with family and friends. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, being the life of the party, and her never ending generosity.

 

She leaves her husband of 50 years, Jim Kenneally; a daughter Tami Murray and husband Peter; a son Michael Kenneally and wife Debbie; grandchildren: Kimberly, Paige, and Isabella; her beloved dog “Maggie”; sisters: Dolores Crone and Donna Verenini; a brother: William (Lori) Hines, Jr.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Calling hours will be held from 10am to 1:00pm Saturday, September 25 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie.  A service will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home followed by a reception at the West Albany Fire House, 113 Sand Creek Road, Colonie.
