Obituary

Schenectady - Martin M. McHale, 87, of Schenectady, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Baptist Retirement Center.

He was born in New York City and was the son of the late Myles and Eleanor “Nellie” Turnbull McHale. Marty was a longtime orderly at St. Clare’s Hospital for many years.

He is the father of Brenda (Bruce) Wheeler, Martin Myles McHale Jr. (Brenda Stafford), Debra Parker and Richard Labelle. Marty is the brother of Dottie (Howard) Hoffman, Debbie McHale, Norman McHale and the late Thomas, Robert, James, Johnny, Mary, Kathleen, Patricia and Eileen. He is the grandfather of Morgan and Rebecca Wheeler, Cheryl (Harvey) Banks, Nicole (Chris) Dopp, Deidre (Michael) Brady, Katelynn and Brena Parker. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marty’s family on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie.
