Maria A. Blake

COLONIE – Maria Anna Blake, 74, of Colonie, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Cataldo Jr. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank K. Blake Sr. in 2018. Maria was devoted to her most cherished family. She was the epitome of goodness. Maria was generous, loving, accommodating and had a warm, caring heart. She will be remembered for her kindness and genuine concern for others.

Maria is the loving mother of Frank (Teri) Blake Jr., Angela (Michael) Bombard and Anthony (Heidi) Blake. She is the dear sister of Michael Cataldo. Maria is the cherished grandmother of JJ Papielion (Jenna Snide), Cole Bombard, Marissa, Makayla, Frankie, Hailey, Olivia and Lainey Blake. She is the loving aunt of Theresa Cataldo and Maya Kramer.

Maria’s entire family, on her behalf, has to mention with great appreciation the dedication and love of Angela and Michael Bombard. They made their home hers and granted her the friendship, comfort and peace she so desperately needed since the loss of her soulmate Frank.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Maria’s family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
