Laurier "Larry" Trahan Obituary

ROTTERDAM – Laurier “Larry” Trahan, 88. of Rotterdam, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island and was the son of the late Napoleon and Helen Trahan. Larry served in the US Marine Corps as an expert rifleman and sharpshooter and ran helicopter rescue missions during the Korean War. Larry was an aircraft mechanic and crew chief at Quonset Point, RI and then a production machinery mechanic at the Watervliet Arsenal for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1989.

As a young man, Larry rode with the Jesse’s Roamers Motorcycle Club in Pawtucket, RI. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He coached Pop Warner for many years and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved body surfing on the Rhode Island coast with his children and grandchildren. Larry enjoyed music and passed that love on to his children. His family was his world and he will be dearly missed.

Larry is the beloved husband of 64 years to Jacqueline A. Trahan. He is the devoted father of Laurie (James) Brisbin, Deborah Trahan, Kathleen Trahan (Doug Fiorillo), Christine (Brian) Kosineski and the late Neal Trahan. He is the brother of the late Gloria Ledoux, Patricia Dion, Paulette Valois and Conrad Trahan. Larry is the proud grandfather of Hannah, Abbi, Ian and Julien Brisbin, Larri (Ro Tucci) Fish, Dana Fish, Brittany (Steve) White, Jared Fiorillo, Alyssa and David Kosineski, Joshua, Nathan and Ella Trahan. He is the great grandfather of Lorelei and Sierra Fish and Sophia White.
