Hartley J. "Willie" Williams Obituary

Albany - Hartley J. “Willie” Williams, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY.

 

Born in Stamford, CT, he was the son of Howard and Gertrude Williams. Willie grew up in Stamford, CT and Greenfield, MA.

 

During the Korean War, he served in the US Air Force as an electronics technician.

During the space program, Willie worked for RCA in the Carribean tracking the missions.

 

For more than 52 years, Willie resided in St. John’s, Antigua, West Indies where he owned and operated his own company, EEE Limited. He has resided in Albany for the past 10 years to be closer to family.

 

His first wife Lesley Williams passed away before him.

 

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Williams; a daughter Kelly Watt and her husband Jerome; a son Adam Williams; two step-daughters: Michelle Lewis and Leslie Belizaire; and many grandchildren.

 

A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00am, Wednesday May 11 at All Saints Church, 16 Homestead Street, Albany. Committal service with military honors will follow at 12 Noon at Saratoga National Cemetery.
