Harold Snyder Obituary

COLONIE - Harold E. Snyder, 88, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his winter home in Ellenton, Florida.

 Harold was born on February 19, 1932 in Albany, NY. He grew up in Rensselaerville, New York and attended Greenville Central School. After high school, he joined the Air Force in December of 1951 and was honorably discharged in December of 1955 and received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He worked in a body shop and as a delivery driver most of his adult life. He loved anything involving cars and among his favorite things to do was traveling, Nascar and an occasional trip to Hard Rock Casino in Tampa along with trips to Las Vegas and sightseeing throughout the mid-west.

Harold is predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Joan Snyder (Smith) and his brother Ronald Snyder. Harold is survived by his companion, JoAnn Kemp, his children, Michael Snyder (Vaunda), Patty Kaufman (Mark), Steve Stamas (Tiffaney), and Kirsten LaClair, as well as his grandchildren Krystal McClellen, Ryan Kaufman, Eric and Lee LaClair, Nick, Brianna and Alexa Stamas and a great grandson, Ryker McClellen. He is also survived by his sister Marlene Snyder (Randall Coon) and his sister-in-law, Reatha Snyder, his nephews Scott Snyder (Betsy), Robert Snyder (Marianne) and his niece Linda Snyder and grand nephew Shaun Sleasman and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held on June 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie, New York with burial to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.CannonFuneral.com
