Debbie Baker, 66, of Wynantskill, NY passed away peacefully in the early morning of July 22 at Westchester Medical Center.

Born in Albany and raised in South Colonie, she was a 1974 graduate of South Colonie Central High School.

She retired as a clerk from the New York State Retirement System.

Debbie was the life of every party, and she could always put a smile on everyone’s face. A strong independent, compassionate and kind woman, who wore her heart on her sleeve and told it like it is. She was passionate about her family and friends, but especially about her five grandchildren who she adored and who adored her.

She is pre-deceased by her parents John J. Chidsey, Sr and R. Joan Chidsey; two sisters Melody Bardin and Dawn Barile.

She is survived by her daughter Tatianna Baker (Jason Bolt), son Chase (Brittany) Baker; 5 grandchildren: Dederick, Eli, Micah, Lianna, and Dason; siblings: Sharon Case, Robin Eason, Bonnie Sim, Penny Bradt  (George Wallace), Tina (Steve) Earven, John Chidsey, Timothy (Linda) Chidsey, and Edward (Rachel) Chidsey; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am Friday, July 28 with a service at 11:30am at the Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie. Burial at Memory Gardens.
