Agustin De Jesus Merino Obituary

LATHAM – Agustin De Jesus Merino of Latham, passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 5, 1964 in Ladera Copala Mexico. Agustin was the son of Juan De Jesus Lopez and Maria Merino. He came to the land of peace, freedom, and opportunities. Agustin achieved his goal of becoming a citizen of the United States while working in Latham at the 76’ Diner as a cook. He was a great father and grandfather, a man who inspired his loved ones to be strong, friendly, funny, and hard working. He was loved by everyone who met him.

Agustin is the husband of the late Aurelia Ramirez Alvarez. He is the father of Herminia De Jesus Ramirez, Monica De Jesus Ramirez, Humberto De Jesus Ramirez, Javier De Jesus Ramirez and the late Victor De Jesus Ramirez. Agustin is the brother-in-law of Jesus Fuentes Martinez. He is the grandfather of Jesus David Fuentes De Jesus, Alvino Fuentes De Jesus, Diana Rashel Fuentes De Jesus, Oliver Kevin Fuentes De Jesus, and Agustin De Jesus Ramos.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Agustin’s family on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 am at Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas, 273 Central Ave., Albany. Interment will be ion Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
