Guilderland - Vanessa Marina Kahn, 66, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025. Lovingly known as Bonnie, she was born on June 5, 1959 to the late Henri and Vanessa Kahn. She grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens and lived for many years in Guilderland, NY.
Bonnie studied Nursing and worked for 23 years at Mt. Sinai Hospital on 5th Avenue in Manhattan in the Internal Medicine Associates Division. Her patients loved her and always requested her to care for them.
She loved dancing the night away at clubs in the “Village” in NYC to New Wave & Punk Rock music. She also loved Rock and Roll Music – She was a huge fan of Bonjovi, Linda Rondstandt, Dan Fogelberg, Aerosmith, and Heart. Bonnie loved movies, especially the ones starring Johnny Depp and anything with vampires. She was an avid reader and loved John Grisham books and she was a champion for animals. She loved and protected them. Most of all, she was a kind, sweet and loving person who never forgot a birthday. She loved her two beautiful Nephews, Eric & Ryan.
Bonnie is survived by her sisters Dora (Chris) Dalgoutte), Zulie (Monty) Gundermann, Claudia Kahn, brother Greg (Katy) Kahn, Nephews Eric (Anastasiya) Vardin, Ryan Gundermann, great niece Sophia Vardin. aunt Dora Benedicto, first cousins Jorge (Paola) Guim and Gulliermo Guim, lifelong friend (like a Sister) Joanne, and many more cousins who loved her very much. Last but not least, Willow our family dog.
A Memorial Service Mass will be held on July 18th at 10:00 am at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Schenectady. To leave a message of condolence for Bonnie’s family please visit www.cannonfuneral.com.
