Tyler B. Collins

COLONIE – Tyler B. Collins, 25, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was welcomed into heaven by his Mamay and Papa (Lorie and George LaTourette) whom he cherished.

Tyler leaves behind his mother Dona Herr, stepfather Dan Herr; brother Kaedan, sister Karlee, cousin and best friend Dylan, Aunt Dawn and other extended family, coworkers, and many friends who loved him deeply.

Tyler worked as an EMT for Mohawk Ambulance, Malta Stillwater EMS and Nassau Ambulance. At age 18, Tyler started working at Albany Medical Center Hospital in patient transport which sparked the flame for his love of helping and serving others. He then took a job as an ER tech during the pandemic before moving on to become an EMT. Tyler spent his entire working career helping, serving, saving and giving back to others. This speaks volumes about his character and who he was a person. As good as he was at those things, he was an even better friend, brother and especially son. There are no words that could properly express how this profound loss has impacted his family and friends. Tyler will be as deeply missed as he was deeply loved.
