Shirley Ann Tuttle, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Albany Medical Center.

Born on June 21, 1944, in Cohoes, New York, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen (Perrier) Santaski.

Shirley was a proud graduate of Schodack High School and furthered her education with a two-year degree from Maria College. Her professional career was marked by tenure at the New York State Department of Transportation, where she worked in Consumer Protection, as well as the New York State Insurance Department, from which she retired in 2001. Her commitment to service was evident in both her work and her volunteer efforts.

As an active member of the St. Clare's community, Shirley shared her faith and knowledge through teaching religious education for many years. She was a passionate volunteer at the U.S. Naval Seal Museum in Pierce, Florida, where she embraced the opportunity to give back to those who served the country she loved.

Shirley was known for her vibrant spirit and creativity. Her hobbies included crafting, oil painting, and scrapbooking. She was affectionately nicknamed "Mrs. Fix It" for her talent for tackling home projects and repairs.

She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Tuttle, whom she married in 1999. Her children: Peter Jennings Jr. (Tracy), Kristina Fountain (Ronald), Mark Jennings (Laurie), and Holly Ann Jennings-Smith (Michael). Additionally, she was a proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her stepchildren, Cindy Lou Clark and Donna Tuttle (Donald Countermine), as well as her half-sisters, Darlene Patterson, Eliza Kellish, and Beatriz Kessler.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Bernard G. Santaski and Robert John Santaski, and half-brother Bernard J. Santaski Jr.

Shirley Ann Tuttle's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, and the joy she brought to every conversation and gathering. As a beloved member of her community and a devoted family matriarch, her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
