LOUDONVILLE – Scott A. LedDuke, 45, passed away from a heart attack on Wednesday, Sept. 24. His family is devastated by his sudden passing, but they take comfort knowing Scott left this world doing what he loved most—fishing offshore with his brother. Earlier that day, he had described it as one of the best tuna trips of his life.
Scott was born July 27, 1980, in Albany to Chick and the late Donald LedDuke. He grew up in the Capital Region and graduated from Clayton A. Bouton High School in 1998. A devoted husband and loving father, Scott was also an exceptional skier, avid fisherman and diehard New York Giants fan. He was well-known for his love of music — his favorites included the Grateful Dead, Willie Nelson, Phish and more artists across all genres than there is room to print — and he cherished time outdoors. He was especially proud of his garden. His friends and family will remember Scott for his generosity and willingness to help those he cared for.
Scott loved his family immensely. He enjoyed traveling with his wife — who was his high school sweetheart of 27 years — and daughters and sharing adventures with them. The family feels blessed to have memories of an unforgettable trip to Europe earlier this year.
He is survived by his mother, Chick; his wife, Lisa; his four daughters, Natalie, Amelia, Juliette, and Phoebe; his brothers, Spencer (Melissa) and Slade (Meghan); his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Ron Tamburri; his brother-in-law, RJ Tamburri; his nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Trixie. He was predeceased by his father, Donald “Don” LedDuke, and his older brother, Donald Jr.
Visitation hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Church in Loudonville. A funeral service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to two organizations of great importance to Scott: Folds of Honor New York, 111 Washington Ave, Suite 501 Albany, NY 12210 or Magic Alpine Club Youth Programs, C/O Magic Mountain, PO Box 188 Londonderry, VT 05148.
