Glenmont -Rosemary Helen Demers Khachadoorian, age 79, of Glenmont died September 2, 2025, in Albany. Born August 1, 1946, Rosemary was the only child of Joseph and Margaret “Peggy” Demers. The family resided in her Hometown of Watervliet for majority of her upbringing. She graduated from Watervliet High School in 1964. After having two children, William C. Hamilton and Hollie Lynn Hamilton Mendelowitz, she returned to higher education to pursue a degree as a paralegal from Russell Sage College. Rosemary went on to work as a Real Estate Paralegal at The Law Offices of Kriss, Kriss and Brignola, followed by The Firm of Pattison, Sampson, Ginsberg, and Griffin PLLC until retirement age.
Rosemary was the doting and faithful wife of Harry L. Khachadoorian, who preceded her in death on May 8, 2025. She was the loving mother of William (Jeanne) Hamilton, Hollie (Todd) Hamilton Mendelowitz and Renee Cantwell. Rosemary’s greatest joy came from being “Nana” to Eric, Nathan, Rachel, Sarah (predeceased), Emily, and Abiageal. She is survived by several cousins, all of who held an incredibly special place in her heart.
Rosemary and Harry hosted “Home Group and Bible Study” gatherings, at their home for years, to share their love of God with close friends and members of the Bethlehem Community Church, as a devotion to their faith. Her love of God and service to her church was always at the forefront of her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” service at Bethlehem Community Church on Saturday, September 13th at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to local animal shelters or humane societies in her name. Nana had a deep love for her grand pups, Mana, Maximus, Moody, Mowgli, and Maui.
