Colonie - Rosemary Anne Bonneau, 86, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born to the late Joseph and Mary Downs, Rosemary was a graduate of Albany High School and Mildred Elley Business School.

She dedicated approximately 40 years of service to Albany County and retired from Albany County Supreme Court.

Rosemary was married to her beloved husband, William Bonneau, for 66 years. Together, they raised a beautiful family and shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

Rosemary enjoyed traveling near and far, especially Hawaii, Italy and Maine. She loved dining out, spending time at the Racino, and many happy gatherings at their camp in Stoney Creek, NY.

She is survived by her husband, William Bonneau; her daughter, Kathleen Bonneau; her son, William (Peggy) Bonneau; her grandchildren, Billy Bonneau, Mary Bonneau; and her brother, Joseph Downs.

Rosemary was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, with a special bond to Thomas Bonneau, Susan Bonneau, Daniel Bonneau, and Mark Bonneau.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Downs, and her sister, Venna Gleason. She was also preceded in death by her dear friend, Ruth Knapp, whose friendship was very special to her.

The Bonneau family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Community Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Rosemary and her family.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
