Rose Tenenini

October 24, 1934 — June 14, 2025

COLONIE – Rose Tenenini, 90, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Morolo, Italy on October 24, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Domenico and Pauline Costantini. Rose was predeceased by her husband Louis Tenenini who she was married to for 55 years until his death in 2008, her son Richard Tenenini and her brother Dominick Constantine.

She graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in 1952 and worked briefly for NYS before marrying Lou in 1953 and retiring to raise her family. After her children were in school, she then worked with her brothers at Lee’s Snack Bar and at Fannie’s Restaurant.

Rose was, above all, the matriarch of our family. She will be remembered for her amazing cooking, baking, crocheting and taking care of her family. Family was everything to her and we will miss her terribly.

Rose is the beloved mother of Rocco Tenenini (Diane), Lisa Noles (Jim Schanz), adored grandmother of Samantha Colbert (Rian), Sierra Bertinato (Matt), Naomi Tenenini (Rady Pheng), and her great grandchildren, Lucie Colbert and Benjamin Bertinato were her pride and joy. She will also be watching over her soon to be new grandson baby boy Colbert. She is also survived by her brothers, Angelo Constantine and Joseph Costantini (Sue). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, as she was often referred to as their favorite Aunt Rose.

The family would like to thank St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their care during her last days. A very special thank you to Allen Hyserman, Sharon Albarelli and Darren Graham-Messercola for making a world of difference for the last few months and especially at the end of Mom’s life.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Rose’s family on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
