COLONIE – Robert G. Flood, 85, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in Yonkers, NY and was the son of the late Louis G. and Madlyn C. Flood. As a young man, Bob was a fireman with the City of Albany for several years. Bob established Flood Landscaping and built the business into a well-known successful enterprise throughout the Capital Region. He was an avid car enthusiast, and he loved to tell a good joke. Bob enjoyed bowling, darts, ice cream, candy and his canine companion, Sir Bentley.
He is the beloved husband of 67 years to Rose J. Flood. Bob is the devoted father of Robert D. (Teri) Flood, James A. (Monica) Flood, Cherie L. (David) Voss and the late John Michael Flood. He is the cherished Pap Prune to Jason (Winnie), Justin (Megan), Brittany (Jared) Marin, Jimbo, Shana (Chris) Berti, Evan and Aubrey Voss. He is the great grandfather of Madison, Sophia, Carter, Roman and Chase Flood, Everly and Bryer Marin, and Maysie Berti (and her half-sibling Carson). He is the brother-in-law of the late Dorathea Moyer. Bob is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob’s family is most grateful for his wonderful caregivers, Brittany, Dusty, Esther, Jenny, Bobby, Teri, Jimmy and the Hospice team of Gail, Lou and Nate. Your kind and compassionate care is truly appreciated.
