Raymond S. Milham, Sr.

April 29, 1948 — February 14, 2022

ALTAMONT – Raymond S. Milham Sr., 73, of Altamont, passed away peacefully on Monday at his son’s residence. He was born in Albany and is the cherished son of Rita McGrath Milham and the late Raymond E. Milham.

Ray served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of the Colonie Police Department and retired as a Detective Sergeant in 2003. Ray was an avid outdoorsman as a hunting and fishing enthusiast. He enjoyed farming, boating, tinkering with tractors, bailing hay and was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Rays greatest joy was to attend his grandchildren’s events and share his love for the outdoors with them.

Ray is the beloved father of Jessica (Alan) Poremba and Raymond S. (Lori) Milham Jr. He is the devoted Papa to Ava and Cole Poremba, Madailein and Brayden Milham, Raegan, Antonio and Dominic Uribe. Ray is the brother of Robert F. (Marylou) Milham, Richard J. (Eileen) Milham, Ronald P. (Dawn) Milham and Rita M. (Anthony) Schipano Sr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ray’s family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:30 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave. Guilderland. Interment will follow at Saratoga National VA Cemetery.
