Paul K. Lyngard, 83, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Raymond Lyngard and Leola Morrissey.
Paul graduated from Guilderland Central High School in 1961. Upon graduation he became an apprentice for the Sheetmetal workers Union working his way to Journeyman with Local #83 for 60 years. He was an avid stamp collector being Vice President for the Fort Orange Stamp Club and a member of the Stamptrotters. As an avid collector of many things, he created his Ebay Store his baby that allowed him to connect with people all over the world who had similar interests. Paul also enjoyed kayaking, snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, watching NASCAR races and old westerns and loved reading. Most of all he enjoyed NEVER taking the same route twice to get anywhere!
Paul is survived by his wife Margaret of 64 years and his daughters Tina-Marie Bottini (Kevin) and Eva-Marie Trimboli (Mark Lampron), his six grandchildren, Topher (Julie), Steven, Drew (Allison), Sarah (Will), Kyle and Samantha.
Paul is also survived by his sister Carol Paradise and his nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to visit Paul’s family on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 3-6 pm at Cannon Funeral Home 2020 Central Avenue Albany.
Funeral services will be held at Cannon Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10 am his burial to follow at Memory Gardens 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd. Albany.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions made in Paul’s name to either The American Heart Assoc. (www.heart.org) or St. Judes (www.stjude.org)
