Patrick M. O'Brien

Mr. Patrick M. O'Brien, of Colonie NY passed away peacefully at Albany Medical Center on September 30, 2026, after a brief illness.

Patrick was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 19, 1939, to Geneviene O'Brien and was adopted by Matthew O'Brien of Albany, NY.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura (Robert) Ryan of Baldwinsville, NY and Susan O'Brien of Albany, NY, along with his four stepsons, Burris Beattie (Penny), Rolland Beattie (Amy Law), Keith Beattie and David Beattie, along with his dear second cousin Sandy Kepperblatt.

Patrick was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Lois-Anne O'Brien, a son Johnny and a daughter Lisa (Tom) Lewis of Albany, NY.

Mr. O'Brien retired from Ryan's Produce in Albany, NY in the early 2000's.

Patrick always extended kindness and a helping hand towards others. Patrick enjoyed his daily walks through the neighborhood or within his apartment building, he also enjoyed God's creative works, art coloring, listening to his collectiOn of older music and the comfort of his beloved cat Princess. He will be dearly missed.

Mr. O'Brien was a devoted communicant of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Colonie, NY.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, with a Funeral Service to begin at 11:30 am, at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie, NY.
