DUANESBURG – Orlando G. Orsini, 95, of Duanesburg, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Nemesio Orsini and Alessandra Palombi Orsini.

Orlando served in the U.S. Army, 45th Infantry Thunderbirds, during the Korean War. He attended Siena College and was employed by American Optical Company. He then worked for many years with Niagara Mohawk, retiring as a Utility Supervisor. Lon seemed to know everyone. He enjoyed traveling to new places and while at home, running or biking in the fresh air and sunshine along the Mohawk Hudson Trail. Lon was an avid reader with great interest in the news, history, and geography. Until recently, he enjoyed a meal and a beer out on the town each week with family for “Friday Night in America” as he called it.

Lon was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Yvonne Carpenter Orsini. He is the devoted father of Stacy Orsini (Scott Brodie), Christian Orsini, and Douglas Orsini. He is the step-grandfather of Ben Brodie. Lon is the brother of Mary Armeniades (Constantine), the late Clotilda (and late Richard) McCarthy, and late Ellen Orsini. He is survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

A private service was held at Memory Gardens. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.CannonFuneral.com
