In Loving Memory of Mary Dorothy “Omi” Waikas November 1, 1940 – June 3, 2026.

Mary Dorothy Waikas, 85, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Mary was a loving, caring, and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated her life to those she loved and was always there when someone needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of encouragement. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Mary had a passion for traveling, cooking, and shopping. She found joy in preparing meals for family gatherings and creating cherished memories with those she loved most. Family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

She was predeceased by her beloved grandson, John Holtzman, and by her former husband of 45 years, Jack Waikas.

Mary leaves behind her loving daughters, Margie Waikas and Wendy Marrello; her cherished granddaughters, Angelia Marrello and Amanda Holtzman; her sisters, Jody Denton and Ruth Peek; her great grandchildren Aubrey Holtzman and Salim Saleh, IV along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the countless memories she gave us and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Mary will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

*“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved still missed and very dear.”
