Colonie - Mark McAllister, a lifelong resident of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Mark was predeceased by his parents Rita and Matthew McAllister, as well as two of his brothers, Pete and Will. He was a proud member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 7 since 1977. He spent 27 of those years working for Honeywell. Before his retirement he worked at the state office buildings and the Governor's mansion. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Yankees and NY Giants play and floating in the pool during the summer. He was also a longtime season ticket holder for the Firebirds/Conquest/Empire/Firebirds. Mark battled Parkinson's and Lewy Body dementia. He was active in his life until the past summer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Mitchell McAllister and his children Nicole (Matthew) Darius, Joshua, Daniel (Jaime), and Samantha. As well as three grandchildren Scarlett Darius and Bennett and Cooper McAllister. He also leaves behind his brothers Mike (Elaine) and Tim (Marion) sister-in-laws Micki and Diane and lifelong friends that were more like brothers James (Thomi) Mitchell and Jeff Coon. He had many nieces and nephews that were all special to him. He donated his kidneys for transplantation and his brain for research. The family would like to thank Andrew and Ashe from the Center for Donation and the 4th floor ICU staff from St. Peter's.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mark’s family on Sunday from 12 to 3 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie.
