Guilderland - Keith Allen Stutz, 80, of Guilderland, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on July 20, 2026, at Ellis Hospital.

Born on January 12, 1946, Keith was the beloved son of the late Eugene "Bumpy" Stutz and Ella Longendyke Stutz. A proud lifelong local resident, he graduated from Guilderland High School with the Class of 1963. Following high school, he attended Manhattan College, where he pursued his higher education.

Keith dedicated 25+ years of his life at Northern Industrial Services working as an electrical/mechanical draftsman. Outside of work, Keith was a man of boundless energy, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He was an avid reader and a deeply spiritual man with a true zest for life. In his younger years, Keith enjoyed skiing, playing softball in a local league, learning his green thumb on the Stutz family farm, bowling, roller skating, and playing pool. His main passion was riding his beloved motorcycle, which he had ridden cross-country numerous times and throughout the rest of the US. He loved growing his garden and canning the fruits of its harvest, cooking wonderful meals, embracing nature through hiking, hunting, and fishing, and relished having some beers with good friends. Above all, he cherished the people in his life, always ready with the biggest smile, a helping hand, and a genuine love for living every day to its fullest. Additionally, he was a longtime member of Lynwood Reformed Church.

Keith is survived by his loving children: Carolyn M. Stott (Harold) of Richmond, VA, and Greg A. Stutz (Dawn Evon) of Guilderland, NY. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Laura A. Stutz-Zink (Robert) of Rotterdam, NY, Luke M. Stott of Albany, NY, Taylor M. Gill (Kendall) of Nashville, TN, and Kenneth G. Stott of Binghamton, NY; his great-grandchildren, Jax (son of Luke) and Kam (son of Kenneth); and many nieces and nephews.

Additionally, he is survived by his sisters: Kathy M. Lavigne of Delanson, NY; Karen E. Messercola (Robert) of Guilderland, NY; Kristen P. VanZandt of Toledo, OH; and Kim A. Grippin of Cobleskill, NY.

In addition to his parents, Keith was predeceased by his dear brother, Kenneth E. Stutz.

In lieu of services, the family kindly asks that donations in Keith’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, or that you consider making a gift of life by donating blood to the American Red Cross.
