Joseph B. May

Joseph Bruce May, 82, of Guilderland, New York passed away on August 24, 2026 at the VA Stratton Hospital in Albany, New York with his dear friend, Yon, who remained by his side during his long illness.

He was born October 2, 1943 in Greensboro, North Carolina. After school he joined the U.S. Army, he then stayed in the service with the National Guard. He was a very dedicated veteran. He worked for many years as a computer technician at Mohawk Data Services in New York.

His hobbies included restoring furniture and also collected miscellaneous antiques.

While his name is almost the same as his father. Their middle names were different; he was called Bruce by family and friends.

He is survived by his brother Donald (Kim) May, brother John (Anna Marie) May and sister Joyce (Harry) Hendriksen. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ballard May and Ellen (Wike) May and his daughter, Diane.

As per his wishes, Joseph will find eternal rest at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
