Listen to Obituary

Joseph A. Lombardi, 57, beloved husband of Maria Lombardi, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Saint Peter’s Hospital.

Born on October 1, 1968, in Guilderland, New York, Joe was the cherished son of Jeanette Lombardi and the late Joseph Lombardi Sr. He attended Guilderland High School and remained proud of his roots throughout his life.

Joe was a man of many passions and talents. He loved working on his cars and his boat, and he had a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, especially when it came to his interests in mechanics and the outdoors. He also had a passion for gardening, which he truly mastered, taking pride in the beauty he created.

Maria has walked beside Joe for 36 years. This year, we will celebrate 32 years of marriage, and looking back, our journey has been nothing short of amazing. They say when you find the love of your life, you truly begin to enjoy life-and she cannot imagine being anywhere else but right here with him.

Maria and Joe were lucky to have met each other in 1990. She knew even then that he was the one for her. Like anything else, marriage has its ups and downs, but you push through and you make it work. Throughout their years together, they have been blessed with so many opportunities to travel, have fun, and bring two beautiful children into this world. Their daughter and son are truly the greatest parts of the life they have built together.

Above all, Joe treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter Adrianna and his son Joseph, teaching them how to fish and trap shoot—two of his favorite pastimes. He created lasting memories with them outdoors, sharing both his skills and his love for nature. Joe also greatly enjoyed spending time with his son-in-law, Matteo, fishing off the piers of Anna Maria Island.

Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hardworking spirit, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Lombardi; his daughter, Adrianna Angerami (Lombardi); his son, Joseph Lombardi, Son-In-Law Matteo Angerami; and his mother, Jeanette Lombardi; his brother Mike Lombardi; Sister-In-Law Mary Lombardi and sister Nicole Lombardi.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to support awareness of Severe Aplastic Anemia, a disease affecting his niece, Mattia Robustiano. Click Here.
