Northport, FL. – JoAnn Marie (Coluccio) Swint, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025 in Sarasota, Florida. She was born in West Albany, NY on 11/11/1960 to the late James and Lois Coluccio. JoAnn is survived by her loving husband William Swint whom she shared a beautiful life with for 40 years, her loving children Jason Schewe, Cierra Swint (Dylan Scott), Ariana Swint, and the late Jasmine Swint; Adoring grandchildren the lights of her life, Gabriella Schewe, Alandra Schewe, Lucas Schewe, Giana Baldwin, Gabriel Amoroso, and Aiden Swint; as well as her siblings Diane (Coluccio) Ford, (Brian), Pamela (Coluccio) Snyder (Paul), Jamie Coluccio, James Coluccio; and her uncle James Guerro, sister’s and brother’s in law, and many extended family and friends.
JoAnn retired as the Post Master of Slingerlands, NY in 2016 after more than 30 years in the US Postal Service. Throughout her life, JoAnn enjoyed more than 35 years of boat rides, camp fires, and memories with her family and friends, at their camp on Sacandaga lake. She also spent the last seven years in the blissful sunshine on the Gulf Coast of Florida enjoying shark tooth hunting, sea shell collecting, and spending time relaxing with her husband, family, and friends. JoAnn enjoyed many vacations to various places around the world including the Caribbean, Costa Rica, and most recently a cherished family and friend trip to Italy. JoAnn will always be remembered for her hard working, selflessness, generosity, no nonsense attitude; for her love of food and cooking, the casino, scratch off’s, playing poker, and dedication to her family and friends.
The family invites all to join in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 22nd at the Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie from 1-3 PM with a private family ceremony commencing at 3 PM.
