Joan E. Whinnery

Glenville – Joan E. Whinnery, 84, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1941.

Joan enjoyed doing puzzles and plastic canvas, as well as watching movies. She loved looking at photos of her relatives, her stuffed animals and her solar dancers she collected over the years. Joan belonged to the Altamont Post 7062 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Altamont Reformed Church.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two brothers, two sisters and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

There will Visitation held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10 am to 11 am with a Prayer Service offered at 11 am at the Altamont Reformed Church, 129 Lincoln Ave., Altamont. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society.
