James Nuttall passed into eternal life at home on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in the loving care of his children.
James was the son of the late Edward and Edna Nuttall and a 1963 graduate of Catholic Central High School.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen who passed three weeks shy of their 57th Anniversary. He was also predeceased by his sister Judy, and sister-in-law, Theresa Nuttall.
Survivors include three children Deborah O'Brien, James (Betsy) Nuttall and Jeffrey (Lisa) Nuttall. His six beloved grandchildren, whom he adored dearly: James O'Brien, Matthew O'Brien, Madelyn Nuttal, Joseph Nuttall, Jake Nuttall, and Jessica Nuttall. Jim was immensely proud of them and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Whether he was proudly sitting on the sidelines or watching from afar via livestream in California, he was always there to support his grandchildren and celebrate their accomplishments. His love, encouragement, and unwavering presence will remain a cherished part of their lives and memories. He is also survived by his brothers Edward and Thomas (Gay) Nuttall and sisters Jean Nuttall and Marylou (Zak) Rinderer; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:00am - 12:00pm, with a Funeral Mass to begin at 12:00pm, in St. Clement's Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. A service with full military honors will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
