James John Bousa, 88, of Clifton Park, NY passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at the Schenectady Center. Born on June 3, 1938, in Scotia, NY., he was the son of the late James and Bertha Krynicky (Bousa).
Jim attended Mont Pleasant High School where he played basketball. Later he went on to work at Sealtest where he delivered dairy products to many homes and businesses. In 1973 he began his 25-year career at the General Electric Company and retired in 1998.
Jim loved his family and coached his sons at Schenectady Little League. He was a member of the Schenectady Old Timers Baseball Club. Jim and his late wife Carol traveled for many years to Myrtle Beach, SC. When their grandchildren were young, they enjoyed hosting many sleepovers at their house. Jim was a Yankee fan and made several trips to the stadium with his cousin and family. He also was an NFL fan and looked forward to watching the games throughout the season. He enjoyed playing poker with his ‘poker family’ and participated in many tournaments at Turning Stone and Rivers Casino.
Jim was the devoted father of Richard J. (Valerie) Bousa and Kimberly (Jason) Pasquariello. He is the cherished grandfather of Richard J. Bousa Jr., Alicia C. Bousa and Jessica L. Pasquariello.
He was predeceased by his wife Carol J. Bousa of 64 years, and their sons John J. and James W. Bousa.
Jim’s family would like to thank the staff at The Schenectady Center for the great care they provided.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 9am to 11am, with a Funeral Service to begin at 11am, at Cannon Funeral Home, Colonie, NY. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309.
