Irene A. Civitello

SCOTIA – Irene A. Civitello, 79, of Scotia, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Datus and Betty Roberge.

Irene was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy. She had been a manager for Kem Cleaners in Schenectady for many years. She was a fabulous cook, specializing in delicious Italian dishes. Irene enjoyed vacationing with relatives in Canada. She was a communicant and eucharistic minister at St. Joseph’s Church in Scotia.

Irene is the mother of Anthony Civitello Jr. She is the sister of Margaret Brazell, Barbara (Rick) Devine, Donna (Robert) Lull and the late Diane Updyke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Irene’s family on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Scotia. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
