Helen M. Dougherty

RENSSELAER – Helen Marie Dougherty, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William and Marie Dougherty.

Helen was a graduate of Vincentian Institute. She was an administrative assistant at AAA Hudson Valley in Albany for thirty years. Helen also worked at Hiawatha Trails Golf Course. She enjoyed mowing lawns and she cherished all animals. Helen was an auto enthusiast, owning several corvettes.

Helen is the sister of the late Margaret Harrington. She is the aunt of Kathleen Inglee (Thomas), Will Harrington, Marie Ryan (Paul), Charles Harrington (JoAnne), Michael Harrington, David Harrington and the late James Harrington. She is the dear friend of Geoffrey and Michele Van Epps and Judy Roth.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. There will be a visitation from 11 am to 12 noon, prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
