Cobleskill

Cobleskill - It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Hannah Leanne Shulla (34) on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 at her home in Cobleskill, NY. She was born on December 31st, 1990 in Bradenton, FL to Steve and Becky Shulla.

As a child, Hannah loved sports. She could often be found out on the tennis court with her father or watching the Tampa Bay Rays.

Hannah attended IMG Academy where she was an avid tennis player and golfer, and was a Yale Book Award recipient. Upon graduation from IMG Academy, she attended University of South Florida, where she studied history. She was married to Thomas Blanch on September 29, 2017. That same year, she moved to Washington D.C. to work as a grant writer and administrator for the National Museum of Law Enforcement.

In 2021, Hannah and Thomas bought a home in Cobleskill, NY to follow their dream of living in the country. Hannah loved spending time at home with her husband and their pets, Obie, Gravy, Inky, Zu, and Yoshi. Hannah had a great sense of humor, enjoying satirical comedy like “On Cinema at the Cinema.” She loved the music of Cher, ABBA, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson. She was courageous, quick witted, fiercely loyal, deeply loved and dearly missed by her family, colleagues, and friends. Her memory is a blessing to all who loved her.

Hannah was preceded in death by her dear mother, Becky Shulla; and doting grandparents William and Charlotte Kelso and Norma and Ben Shulla; and her beloved pet of 19 years, Jumbo. She is survived by her loving father, Steve Shulla; her caring brothers, Nicky and Harry; her adoring husband, Thomas Blanch; her mother-in-law and father in-law Christine and Tom Blanch; sisters-in-law Chloe (Kevin Bosman) and Isabelle Blanch; and her nephew Wolfgang Blanch.
