George J. Rosko

Colonie - George Joseph Rosko, 75, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born in Troy to the late Theresa Richards Rosko and Joseph Rosko.

George graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1969 and then studied automotive technology at Hudson Valley Community College. He worked at Jack Byrne Ford and Mercury as a salesman from 1969-1976. More recently, George worked at GE Silicone in Waterford for many years.

He is survived by his children, Brian Rosko (Pam Chien) and Jorgeann (Josh) Ramsdill. George is the beloved partner of 21 years to Adrienne Birchler. He is the cherished grandfather of Anna and Jack Ramsdill and Lucy Rosko. George is the brother of Joseph M. (Deborah) Rosko. He is the uncle of Autumn Bender and Rebecca (Roy Fay) Scherif. George is also survived by Adrienne’s son, Colin Birchler and his fiancé Meg Wheatley. He was devoted to his mentor and cousin Salvatore Riccardone Sr. who preceded him.

George was warm-hearted and cared deeply for his family. He enjoyed getting together with his children and grandchildren and was a car enthusiast since childhood. He spent many days in his garage restoring old cars and enjoyed attending car shows with Adrienne. He also enjoyed traveling and the events, classes, and day trips he took with friends at the Colonie Senior Citizens Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with George’s family on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie.
