George Deyo was born on September 4, 1956, to the late George Sr. and Sally Deyo. He was a proud graduate of South Colonie Central High School, Class of 1974.
In 1978, George met the love of his life, Carole. Together, they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage until her passing in 2020. Their life was built on love, companionship, and a deep devotion to family.
George retired from Ecolab in Albany, New York, where he worked as a sales executive for more than 25 years. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.
A man deeply rooted in his community, George proudly volunteered with the Fuller Road Fire Department in Colonie, New York, for over 35 years, serving as a Fire Police Captain. He cherished the camaraderie of the firehouse and the lifelong friendships formed through his service. George also served as a baseball umpire with the Capital District Baseball Umpires Association, reflecting his love of sports and community involvement.
In his free time, George most enjoyed spending time with his daughters, cooking, golfing, watching classic television shows, snacking, being by the ocean, following football and baseball, and remaining actively involved with the Fuller Road Fire Department.
George is survived by his daughters, Kristina (Brian) Deyo and Alex (Andrea) Deyo; his brothers, Shaun (Patty) Deyo and Timmy (Jeanine) Deyo; his nephews, Carson (Pam) and Skylar; his nieces, Katie and Elizabeth; and his cherished granddogs Huck and Rhea (Kristina), and Brew (Alex). He was preceded in death by the family’s beloved dog and his “Pal” Kylee.
