Elizabeth G. Mink

Elizabeth G. Mink, 93, of Schenectady passed away Friday August 14, 20206. She was born in Elizabethtown, NY and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Smith.

Elizabeth was trained at Albany Memorial Hospital to be an LPN and then began working for St. Peter’s Hospital. Elizabeth spent over 20 years in the Emergency room at St. Peter’s, then in 1982 she started to work for the Red Cross.

Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, needlework, making beaded jewelry, knitting, and camping. She loved to travel and go on cruises. Elizabeth and her husband enjoyed many years living in Florida after retirement. She cherished her family. Elizabeth lived a long and happy life.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband William H. Mink Sr., and her eldest son William H. Mink Jr. and her brother Robert L. Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Judith A. Mink and her son Gregory A. Mink. She is the grandmother of Christopher Blesse and David Mink. She has several grandkids and great grandkids.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elizabeth’s family on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. A service of tribute will be offered by the Capital Region Nurses Honor Guard at 6:30 at the funeral home.
