Edward F. “Eddie” Carmody, passed away suddenly of natural causes in his home Friday December 12, 2025.

Born October 7, 1958, he was the son of the late William and Shirley Carmody.

Eddie was the brother to Peg, Jane, Marty, and Bill Carmody and Marie Claire Wilber (Tim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of cousins.

Eddie was born in New Bedford, MA and lived most of his life in Albany until he moved to Schenectady about 10 years ago. He was a life-long fan of the Red Sox and Led Zeppelin. Eddy worked for the mail department for the NY State Health Department and other NYS agencies for many years after doing construction work earlier in life. He was involved with AA for many years and lived life with a heart of gold and care for those who struggled with addiction of any kind. He could get anywhere on his bike.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am with a service to begin at 11:00 am, at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Albany. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
