December 9, 1971 — January 13, 2018
ROTTERDAM - Dramone “Shorty” Houston, 46, of Rotterdam died suddenly on Saturday January 13, 2018.
He was born in Newark, NJ and was the son of the late Robert and Sophie Houston. Shorty has been a resident of the Capital Region for several years. He was employed by Durham School Services, Lowes and Walmart where he developed many dear friends. He will be sorely missed.
Shorty is survived by his beloved wife, Yvette; his children, Dramone & Shaniquah Cook, Makeyin, Javon, Destiny, Emyah and Aaliyah. He is the brother of Robert, Kevin and Constance Houston and Linda and Reggie Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave. Colonie. A Prayer Service in celebration of Dramone’s Life will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to assist Yvette and her children, may be made to Yvette Houston c/o Cannon Funeral Home.
