Dorothy B. Wroblewski

Schenectady – Dorothy B. Wroblewski, 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on her birthday, Thursday, April, 16, 2026. She was born in 1935 to the late Anthony and Sophie (Olczak) Laniewski.

Dorothy was a 1952 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School.

She worked for Browning-Ferris Industries for over 22 years and retired in 1997.

Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Leon S. Wroblewski in 1953 and they enjoyed over 70 years together.

She enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, her lunches with the UPS wives, the GE Women’s Club dinners, the GE garden club, social activities with the Rotterdam Senior Citizens group and also liked Polka dancing with her friends.

She was a long-time parishioner of the Church of St. Adalbert in Schenectady.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Leon, her children Craig (Kathy) Wroblewski, and Katherine “Kasia” Pisarski, her grandchildren; Christopher and Matthew (Billie-Jean) Wroblewski, and Katrina and Kevin Pisarski, and her great grandchildren Jack, Sophie, and the late Anders.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 am at the Church of St. Adalbert, 550 Lansing St., Schenectady, NY 12303, with burial to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
