Donna M. Striss

Donna M. Striss, 80, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born April 29, 1946, in Schenectady, NY. Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Edith Severino. She graduated from Mohonasen high school and was employed by Key Bank until her retirement. At the age of 23, Donna met the love of her life and started a family.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, John (Bud) Striss. She is the mother of John (Jessica) Striss and the grandmother of her cherished grandson Wyatt; she is also survived by her sister Gail (Roger) Riccio and nephew, Brian; her sister-in-law Sue and brother-in-law Bill Bastian, and multiple nieces and nephews.

She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her dear friend Ruth Lex. Donna took great joy in watching her grandson’s adventures, reading lots of books, growing her many plants and flowers and going shopping. She enjoyed simply going out for a meal with family and friends and listening to music. Those who knew Donna enjoyed her outgoing personality and heartwarming laugh, often sharing stories and making memories.

Donna will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and joy found in spending time with those she loved. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories left behind will continue to bring comfort to all who knew her.

Interment will take place at Saratoga National cemetery in a private ceremony.
