Carl R. Peterson, Jr.

COLONIE – Carl R. Peterson, Jr., 83, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, November 01, 2026 at the Grand at Guilderland. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Carl and Lillian Peterson Sr. Carl had worked as a transport driver for Interstate Brands and as a CDL driver for Santoro Demolition and Excavation.

He is the beloved husband of 63 years to Barbara A. Peterson. Carl is the devoted father of Craig (Lori) Peterson and Clifford (Brenda) Peterson. He is the cherished Pap Pap to CJ, Chelsie, Cameron and Great Pap Pap to Lucas, Levi, Lincoln and Lanie. Carl is the brother of the late Robert E. and Richard W. Peterson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.CannonFuneral.com
