Carl R. DeMarco

Henderson, NV- Carl R. DeMarco, 69 years old, grew up in Colonie, NY. He passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2025. He graduated from South Colonie High School and from there landed a life long career as an esteemed hair stylist.

He was a man of many interests and talents, and love for learning as his many friends along his life’s path can attest to. Carl was a hairstylist in Bennington for most of his career, owning his own salon for part of that journey and teaching hair design at his alma mater for many years. He served on the Better Bennington Design Committee and was a member of Park McCullough house in Manchester.

He had a love of gardening, which he shared with family and friends alike, and became a master gardener so he could help others on their gardening journey. He was an amazing cook and found great joy in cooking up new recipes with produce and herbs from his garden.

Carl’s love of nature led him on great adventures hiking all over the country. His recent move to Las Vegas made it possible for him to explore more of the west coast. His commitment to nature and the environment followed him to Las Vegas where he joined the Springs Preserve.

He is predeceased by his father, Ervin DeMarco, his brother Ross DeMarco, and his niece Cara DeMarco. His survivors include his mother Clara DeMarco, his sister Theresa (John) Malkiewicz, his sister in law Alice DeMarco. He is the cherished uncle of Samantha (Josh) Swirsky, S. Lee Dudek, Tyler Dudek and R. Peter (Yanna) DeMarco. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many good friends.

Visitation will be Friday morning, July 25th from 10am to 12 noon. A service of remembrance will be offered at 12:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
