Arlene H. Selig

Arlene H. Selig, an 88-year-old lifelong resident of the Albany area who most recently resided in East Greenbush, New York, passed away on September 6, 2026. She was happily married to her beloved husband, Louis F. Selig, for over 60 years, and leaves behind a loving family including her four children: Steven, Ronald (Erin), William (Stephanie), and Lori (William) McDonald.

Beyond her devoted roles as a wife and mother, Arlene's most coveted treasures were her descendants, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy spanning three generations as a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Known affectionately as GiGi, Oma, and Grams, her memory will be held dear by all who loved her.

Though mom will be sorely missed by all, we are very happy she's now in heaven with Lou her loving husband, or as we refer to him, Pop.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity that was exceptionally near and dear to her heart.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
