COLONIE – Anne S. Nahm, 99, of Colonie, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late W. Edwin and Elizabeth F. Scott. Anne was predeceased in 2015 by her beloved husband, Deacon George H. Nahm.
She was a graduate of Immaculata College and Villanova University. Anne taught math and science at her alma matter, West Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia. She later taught at St. Augustine School and Catholic Central High School in Troy. Anne was also a corporate tax consultant for H & R Block in Colonie. A longtime volunteer, she was truly dedicated to the ministry of her husband George’s deaconate at St. Clare’s Church.
Anne is the beloved mother of George (LouAnn) Nahm, Edwin (Linda) Nahm, Gregory (Eulie) Nahm and James (Kathleen) Nahm. She is the sister of the late Rita Scott Barr. Anne is also survived by six grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several cousins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 am at St. Clare’s Church, Colonie. Please enter from the parking lot entrance. Face masks and social distancing will be observed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anne’s family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Clare’s Church 1947 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205.
