SELKIRK – Angelo “Lee” Constantine, 95, of Selkirk, passed peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at his nephew’s residence.
Lee was born in Morolo, Italy and was the son of the late Domenico and Pauline Tennenini Costantini. He graduated from Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School in 1949. Lee served in the US Army and was deployed to Korea during the Korean War. He and his brother Joe were partners in Lee’s Snack Bar in Albany, NY from 1961-1981. He was a self-employed contractor and operated Baco Home Repairs with his partner, Carl Bagetta Sr., for 54 years in Albany.
Lee was not much of a traveler, but his sister Rose and brother Joe convinced him to take a trip to his hometown in Morolo, Italy which he truly enjoyed. He loved making wine, cooking on Sundays, and the Boston Red Sox. What he loved most of all was to be with family.
Lee is survived by his brother Joseph (Sue) Costantini. He was also the beloved Uncle of Rocco (Diane) Tenenini, Lisa Noles (Jim Schanz), Michael (Heather) Constantine, Jonathan Costantini, Sarah (Scott) Trottier and many great nieces and nephews. Lee was predeceased by his brother Domenick Constantine and his sister Rose Tenenini. He was also predeceased by his nephew, Richard Tenenini, and niece, Tina Guidotti.
The family would like to thank the team of health care workers at The VA Hospital and Community Hospice, who took such good care of him. We thank Allen Hyserman and all at the Community Hospice of Albany for being there for Lee. A special thank you to Michael and Heather Constantine for opening their home to their Uncle Lee for the past 5 years.
