Alexander J. Kernozek

East Berne - Alexander J. Kernozek, 65, was born at St. Peter’s Hospital on December 4, 1960, and passed away peacefully at his home on December 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He courageously battled small cell lung cancer.

Alexander was predeceased by his parents, Joseph P. Kernozek and Hilda Kernozek (Rivenburg); his beloved wife, Laurie Kernozek (Sprague); his son, Scott Kernozek; and his nephew, Daniel Stott.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Joseph A. Kernozek, Alexandria Kernozek, and Jacquelyn VanWormer (Kernozek); and his cherished grandchildren, Kristopher Kernozek, Rhylee VanWormer, Alexander J. VanWormer, Julianna VanWormer, and Zofia VanWormer. Alexander is also survived by his sisters, Jo Ann Stott and Suzanne Leggett, and his brother, Michael Kernozek. He is further remembered by Donna Conyer, his devoted companion and partner, who brought comfort, love, and companionship during his later years.

Alexander will be remembered for his strength, love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be held at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie, on February 1, 2026, from 12pm – 2pm with Services to follow at 2pm.
