Agnes "Bridget" R. Peters

Colonie - Agnes R. (Bridget) Peters, 80, of Huntington Drive, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 12, 1942 in Mellen, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of John T. and Agnes (Sorel) O’Donahue.

Bridget grew up in Mellen, WI and was a graduate of  Mellen High School.

On March 12, 1962, she married H. Richard Peters at Superior, WI. After leaving Superior they lived in State College, PA, and Kennewick, WA, before settling down in Colonie, NY.

In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed as an EKG Technician at CHP in Latham.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, and baking. She was adored for her cookies, brownies and especially her banana bread.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by a grandson Vincent Salerno, sisters Beverly Lehl and Bonnie Bentley.

She leaves her loving husband of 60 years H. Richard Peters of the home; daughters: Renae Salerno of Schenectady, Robin Klink of Guilderland, and Melonie (Robert) Pratt of Schenectady; grandchildren: Jamie and Daniel Salerno; Heather, Joshua and Andrew Kaminsky; Kaitlin and Jacob Klink; great-grandchildren: Natalie and Vincent Salerno; a sister Betty Hass as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00am Saturday, January 22 at Christ Church Episcopal, 970 State Street, Schenectady. The Very Rev. Brad Jones will officiate.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, January 21, at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie.
