Michael W. Taft

Niskayuna - Michael W. Taft, 65, of Hillside Avenue recently passed away.

Born on March 29, 1957 in Schenectady, he was the son of Ernest and Virginia Taft.

Michael was a 1975 graduate of Niskayuna High School and a 1979 graduate of SUNY Oswego.

He was a longtime employee of Flounton’s Market and the Niskayuna  Co-op where he was very well respected and extremely well liked.

Mike was very strong willed with a strong work ethic and also loved a good joke-especially on his fellow employees.

His parents pre-deceased him.

He is survived by his sisters Claudia Taft-Tobias and her husband Don Tobias, Marcia Gorodko, Jeannine Taft, and Amy Taft; brothers: Larry Taft and his wife Judie and Joel Taft; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, May 6 at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie. Burial will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
