Larry R. Carpentier

Colonie – Lawrence R. Carpentier, 57, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the beloved son of Phyllis Reichert Carpentier and Raymond Carpentier. He was predeceased by his namesake and grandfather, Lawrence S. (Mae) Reichert.

Larry was a 1980 graduate of Colonie High School and a member of the wrestling team. Larry fought an incredible fight against insurmountable odds with his health. He remained determined and positive with the support of his special circle of friends.  He was a talented small engine repair technician. He enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and snowblowers for his family and friends.  He loved gardening and setting up his vegetable stand.

Larry is the brother of Michele (Tom) Lee and Terry Carpentier. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. He leaves many devoted and caring friends.

Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Larry’s family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
